The mobile medical unit is operated by Wockhardt Foundation (the philanthropic arm of Wockhardt Hospitals).

A well-equipped van with a doctor, paramedic and a community mobiliser will follow a weekly route plan covering 18 villages around the LPG plant of HPCL. Apart from free medical facilities and medicine, the medical unit will also focus on creating community awareness on safe health practices and life styles. Sonal Desai of HPCL inaugurated the mobile medical unit along with other officials. A large number of community members were also present at the inauguration function.
