Abdul Majid Bhat, who was acting as a "tehsil commander" of HuJI in Kishtwar town, surrendered to troops of Rashtriya Rifles handing over an assault rifle with three magazines and 67 rounds and a grenade of Chinese make, a defence spokesman said in Jammu.

He said the terrorist of the Bangladesh-based outfit was locally trained and had been involved in terrorist activities since 2002.
