Unprecedented security arrangements have been made for the visit of US President George W Bush here on Friday.
Over 12,000 police personnel drawn out from different wings of Andhra Pradesh police have been pressed into service, police sources told the agency.
Bush will visit Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) at Rajendranagar and Indian School of Business (ISB) at Guchibowli, both on city outskirts, about 15 km from here.
Grey Hounds, an elite anti-Naxal force and special police parties are combing the area surrounding the two destinations where Bush would visit.
A thorough search of the houses in some adjacent colonies is also being taken up, the sources said.
The state police personnel have been posted at strategic points and a separate special communication system has been installed to closely monitor the situation, the sources added.
