I now laugh off all personal jokes: Sonia
"You have to learn to live with it and understand that this is politics," she says in an interview with Vir Sanghvi.
Can Sonia Gandhi laugh at the many jokes that are made about her? She says she can.

In an exclusive interview to Hindustan Times and NDTV, Mrs Gandhi said that she had ceased to be sensitive. But she agreed that this was not always so.
“Let me tell you that when I first came here, I was extremely sensitive. But you either adjust or you make yourself totally unhappy. You have to learn to live with it and understand that this is politics.”
Asked how she reacted to the many jokes about pizza and pasta that her political rivals made about her, she said, “Actually it made me laugh.” She said she now laughed off all personal comments.
And what about Bal Thackeray’s famous remark, at the beginning of her career that she was a reader and not a leader?
She laughed, “In some ways he was probably right.”
