Hours before going in for arthroscopy surgery at Breach Candy Hospital, superstar Shah Rukh Khan had just one thing in mind— playing a super hero. SRK’s doctor, Sanjay Desai, said, “His only concern was being fit enough for the superhero flick. He wants to do a Superman kind of film for his children.”

Tentatively titled Ra.1 (read as Ravan), it is slated to be directed by Anubhav Sinha. “I can’t say much about the film but SRK is extremely passionate about it.”

Even his team at Red Chillies vouches for the same. According to a source at the team, “the pre-production is in full swing. SRK wants the best action and special effects but was averse of going West. He has instead asked his VFX team to give him the details of best techniques and people available. A special studio’s been constructed and the required software imported. As soon as he recovers from the surgery, he will be back with us to work on it.”

SRK told HT City recently, “I was shooting with Kajol and she said, ‘I can already see a super-hero in you. It’s so much in your mind that it’s already started showing in your body language’.”

Desai calls SRK a “cool chap” but explains, “it’s an advanced operation. For next six months he’ll have to stay away from strenuous shoulder movements. Otherwise he’s a very fit guy, and will be back very soon.”
