IB inquiry into seized explosives

A THREE-MEMBER team of the Intelligence Bureau inspected the explosives that were recovered in large quantity in 22 cartons near Bhadon village, 70 km from Guna recently.

A team from Deputy Chief Controller (Explosives) office from Bhopal would reach Ashoknagar district headquarter on Monday to inquire into the large seizure of explosives, informed Mukesh Shrivastava, SDOP, Ashoknagar on Sunday.

Shrivastava said that the Intelligence Bureau and other concerned agencies took the matter very seriously and have started a high-level probe in it. The team of Controller (Explosives) office that would arrive from Bhopal would consist of Bhattacharya and Silawat while the members of Intelligence Bureau team included DSP P K Keet, intelligence officer R K Gurjar and CIO K K Khare.

Police at present were searching Randhir Raghuvanshi, the sender of explosives and Vinod Raghuvanshi, the probable receiver, he added.

Police have arrested two persons Shivkumar Raghuvanshi of Mundra village, Vidisha district, and Ramsevak Raghuvanshi of Karoda Khurd village for interrogation in this connection, Shrivastava added. If needed, Ameen Explosives Private limited, the manufacturer of the explosives that was written on the cartons, would also be questioned, he added.
