The moderate intensity blast occurred near a wine shop in the Williamnagar bazar. The seven injured were shifted to civil hospital for treatment, Inspector General of Police (Operations) GHP Raju said.
He said that the superintendent of police was supervising the operations at the site.
According to the IG, GNLA cadre Ajan Ch Momin alias Jimmy sent his fighter to trigger the IED blast.
