Security forces averted a major tragedy on Thursday when they recovered a powerful improvised explosive device (IED) on the airport road here.
The device was found during a search operation in Haidarpura, a senior CRPF officer in New Delhi said.
"The IED was mobile triggered and it weighed 80 kg. It was recovered by the troops around 6 am this morning," the officer said.
