IIM-L boys to celebrate it naturally!
THE IIM-L students would celebrate the 22ND foundation day of on Thursday by initiating the tree plantation campaign under the ‘adopt-a-tree’ drive.
The campaign will be carried under the supervision of professor and chairman of legal management group Prof DS Sengar.
Last year, a similar campaign was inaugurated on the campus by Governor TV Rajeswar. And this year it would be IIM-L director Prof Devi Singh who would be doing the honours.
The tree plantation drive that would start off from the campus would in due course, spread out across the city too.
And that’s not all. For as soon as the fourth- term semester exams of post graduate programme-II (PGP-II) students are over, the students would start another unique exercise. “We have plans to develop a park with a pond which can serve as a nature park on the campus. The park would also double up as a yoga-cum- meditation centre where students and other members of IIM-L can relax,” Prof Sengar, said. The relaxation park initiative would be taken up by the social initiative/welfare committee of IIM-L—Bhavishya—under Prof Sengar’s guidance.
Already students, like Anoop Upadhyaya, a member of the Bhavishya group are very excited. “Students have shown a great amount of interest in these activities,” Prof said.
