IIM-L inks pact with SCERT

The Indian Institute of Management-Lucknow has inked a pact with the State Council of Education, Research and Training (SCERT) to train principals of government schools in UP.
The training would start in the first week of March. Principals of DIET schools will be trained in the first phase.
Prof Sushil Kumar from IIM-L would be the coordinator for the training courses.
"The whole idea is to help the principals manage their staff, students better as also to make them use the available resources judiciously," Prof Kumar said.
IIM-L Director Prof Devi Singh said a novel global management course for teachers would also be started at IIM-L's extension campus at Noida, which would be inaugurated in the first week of February. "This course would be for those whose teaching experience is about seven years and would be run in coordination with Canada University as well as Santiago State University," he added.
Under the arrangement, the teachers at IIM-L would be able to visit these varsities as well as other institutes across the globe for gaining the necessary experience and exposure.
