Inclusion of Gwalior in NCR demanded

He has urged the minister in- charge of Gwalior Jayant Mallaiya to prepare a draft proposal for consideration of the Central Government to this effect. Talking to reporters today Gupta recalled late Madhavrao Scindia’s commitment for establishment of counter magnet city (Gwalior West) during the launch of the NCR scheme. Following the City’s inclusion under NCR scheme pace of development will get a boost, he said.

Besides, Gupta also demanded from the State Government to levy power tariff on government- run schools at domestic rate in place of commercial.
