"The peace process should not be allowed to go on the back burner because of isolated incidents of violence," state secretary of CPI (M) MY Tarigami said at a conference of Kisan tehrik at Anantnag, 55 km from Srinagar.

Tarigami said the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially farmers are worst hit by Indo-Pak hostility and turmoil in the state.

He also alleged that benefits of both Central and state schemes have not reached farmers due to faulty implementation.
