After successfully carving out a niche for Indian fashion in New York, a young Indian fashion designer has opened her flagship store in London.

In her new venture, Mani Kohli, the "Khubsoorat" brand owner opened her store in London on Thursday night, encapsulating a rich Indian heritage using the knowledge of intricate craftsmanship with an awareness of contemporary design influences from the West.

Mani who was the costume designer of the hit movie Bend it like Beckham and dress designer for Bollywood stars like Mahima Choudhary, Twinkle Khanna and Malaika Arora Khan, has collaborated with another Bollywood designer, Manish Malhotra for her venture in New York and London.
