Indian gets life term for killing compatriot

A Dubai court sentences life imprisonment to an Indian, who killed his compatriot after he told him his feet were stinking.

An Indian, who killed his compatriot after he told him his feet were stinking, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a Dubai court.

The Dubai Court of First Instance sentenced the 29-year-old Indian sales executive identified as SK on Tuesday

The Dubai Public Prosecution had charged SK with premeditated murder of his compatriot workmate, stealing the victim's wallet and consuming liquor.

The two men were consuming alcohol in SK's car after midnight in a parking lot near their company in Bur Dubai area in February this year when SK put his feet on the dashboard in the car.

The victim identified as AK asked him to put his feet down because they smelt bad following which the two exchanged heated words and SK then murdered AK.
