The chief organiser of the proposed competition, Nadeem Pehalwan, said though they were organising the event with the Pakistan Sports Board, he didn't know why Indian wrestlers were not issued visas to travel to Pakistan.
“We have just been informed the Indian wrestlers can't come because they didn't get visas. We are trying to get more details from the sports board,” he said.
The Wrestling Federation of India, however, clarified that no national team was supposed to visit Pakistan. “We don’t know which team they are talking about,” said an official.
