Indo-Nepal border has become hyper-sensitive

INSPECTOR GENERAL of Police (Zone) Vinay Kumar Verma admitted here that the Indo-Nepal border had become hyper-sensitive due to activities of anti-Indian forces in Nepal. He called upon the people to co-operate with the police in combatting criminal and anti-national activities. While delivering his views as the chief guest in the meeting of Uttar Pradesh Anti-crime Committee at Police Lines in Gorakhpur, Verma said police should be friendly with peace loving people .

While delivering his views as the chief guest in the meeting of Uttar Pradesh Anti-crime Committee at Police Lines in Gorakhpur, Verma said police should be friendly with peace loving people and reiterated that police force would ensure all support in maintaining communal harmony.

Delivering his views on this occasion, SSP Raja Srivastav promised prompt action against the criminals on any information provided by the people.

Supperintendent of police city Ram Chandra Yadav stressed that strong will power was needed to improve the performance. He said social policing had become vital and added that members of the anti-crime committee and the police force were working in the same direction.

Co-ordinator of the programme and secretary of the committee for Gorakhpur zone, Angad Singh, focused on various points of the agenda in the meeting while retired police official and zonal vice-president of the committee Ramashanker Rai said the committee was playing a vital role in the society. Former deputy SP Shivpujan Singh stressed the need for expanding the ambit of the committee’s work area. Dr Roop Kumar Banerjee, Dr Ramesh divisional coordinator of Devipatan Vijay Kumar Srivastav, and others also spoke on the occasion.
