Indocopters bags orders for 4 choppers

Indocopters Pvt Ltd, a distributor and maintenance service provider for Eurocopter helicopters in India, has received fresh orders for four new helicopters worth a combined value of 18 million euro (Rs113 crore).

Indocopters Pvt Ltd, a distributor and maintenance service provider for Eurocopter helicopters in India, has received fresh orders for four new helicopters worth a combined value of 18 million euro (Rs113 crore).

The contracts were signed at the 2nd Aero Show in Hyderabad on Thursday.

The orders include two AS 350 B3 helicopters for Sumit Aviation, an air charter provider, one VIP AS 350 B3 for real estate developer and entrepreneur Vasantrao Morey and one EC 135 helicopter for an unidentified Mumbai-based corporate house. The orders will be supplied in this year.

Currently, 76 Eurocopter helicopters are flying in India and some of the prominent owners include Kingfisher, Sahara, Raymond, IndiaBulls, Vedanta and Jindals.

The Greater Noida-based company expects orders for 10 more helicopters this year, CEO Rohit Kapur told mediapersons here on Thursday.
