According to the police, a security guard found Neelima Yeruva, 27, lying in a pool of blood near the parking lot at around 10.30 pm on Tuesday night. The guard immediately alerted the Infosys management, which shifted her to a nearby corporate hospital, where the doctors pronounced her dead.

"It is not clear whether she had jumped off or fell accidentally or was pushed down. The death has happened under suspicious circumstances. We are probing the matter. Her phone call details are being analysed," said Cyberabad deputy commissioner of police T Yoganand. The police have booked a case of suspicious death.

Yeruva had returned from the US on July 21 after working for a client of Infosys at Tampa, Florida. She was scheduled to return there on August 17 with her techie-husband Sridhar.

Meanwhile, Yeruva's relatives have demanded a probe alleging that her death was not an accident. "Apparently she was chased down," said one of her relatives. The CCTV footage shows her in the Infosys campus till 9.30 pm.

In a statement, Infosys said, "We are saddened by the incident… Infosys will co-operate with the police in their probe."
