Infosys net up 33 per cent in third quarter

Infosys Technologies Ltd has posted net profit of Rs 16.41 bn for the third quarter of this fiscal, registering 33.3 pc year-on-year growth and 14.6 pc sequentially under the Indian accounting system.

Infosys Technologies Ltd has posted net profit of Rs 16.41 billion (Rs 1,641 crore) for the third quarter (October-December) of this fiscal (2008-09), registering 33.3 per cent year-on-year (YoY) growth and 14.6 per cent sequentially under the Indian accounting system.

In a notification to the stock exchanges in Bangalore on Tuesday, the IT bellwether said its consolidated revenue for the quarter under review (Q3) was Rs 57.86 billion (Rs 5,786 crore), posting 35.5 per cent YoY growth and 6.8 percent sequentially under the Indian accounting system.

Under the international financial reporting standards (IFRS), net income increased by around 6.5 per cent YoY to $330 million and consolidated income by eight percent YoY to $1.17 billion for the quarter under review.
