Resident groups-supported organisations such as Jafra (Joint Action Forum of RWAs) and GCC (Gurgaon Citizens Council) have already announced their candidates.

INLD state unit president Ashok Arora released the list of 21 candidates for wards 1 to 6, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 35.

The party is contesting the polls on its symbol of ‘spectacles’. The second list and manifesto would be released soon, party leaders said on Wednesday.

“Though we are still to come out with the election manifesto, we would be contesting MCG elections on issues involving corruption and levy of various taxes by the Haryana government in the last few months. In addition to house tax, the state government has also increased circle rates and VAT manifold,” said Arora. The party also announced to stage a state-wide demonstration on May 4.
