Claiming that the new government at the centre would be formed with the support of Indian National Lok Dal, INLD chief and Haryana Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala on Friday said both the Congress and BJP would suffer a massive defeat in the Lok Sabha elections.

"As the new government at the Centre would be formed with the support of the INLD, the amount of Rs 3,000 crore, which was due towards the present Haryana Government but was denied, would be recovered from the new Central Government and utilised for the developmental works," Chautala said addressing a public rally at Nadha Sahib here.

"Come what may work on the Sutlej-Yamuna Link (SYL) canal would be completed," he said.

Alleging that neither the BJP nor the Congress ever took interest in the welfare of the farmers, he said, "While these parties always safeguarded the interest of the capitalists, the INLD always advocated for the cause of the farming community and the weaker sections of the society."
