The name of Mahatma Gandhi was not even mentioned anywhere in the first set of cards, which were distributed to some invitees. However, within less than 12 hours, the old invitation cards were replaced by a new set, which had a photograph of Mahatma Gandhi on the cover.

Even the accompanying text showered lot of respect on ‘Rashtrapita’. It mentioned that the centre was being dedicated to ‘Mahatma Gandhi ke adarsh’ and ‘jeevan darshan’.

Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav will lay the foundation of the centre here on March 23.
