Following LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan's displeasure over denial of Railway Ministry to him, former Prime Minister VP Singh and Congress leader Ahmed Patel on Saturday rushed to his residence to make him agree to take oath.
As a visibly upset Paswan returned from the residence of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, his supporters thronged his house, which is adjacent to Gandhi's residence.
Within an hour sloganeering reached a crescendo with supporters shouting "rail nahin to oath nahin" (without railways portfolio, Paswan will not take oath).
They even shouted "Sonia Gandhi hosh mein aao, Daliton ke andekhi nahin chalegi (Sonia Gandhi come to sense, we will not allow dalits to be ignored).
Thereafter the crowd that assembled before Paswan's residence moved on to the street disrupting traffic on the busy Janpath in central Delhi.
