Highly placed sources in security agencies say the Mumbai blasts bear the imprint of the Tunda faction’s modus operandi. According to them, no other group so far has displayed the capacity to hit multiple targets in a single day, neither the regularity in their use of improvised explosive devices.

Based on the discovery of traces of salt of ammonia and nitrogen besides fuel oil by forensic experts from the samples picked from blast sites as well as a detailed study of the police and intelligence dossiers on the activities of the group, there are enough tell-tale signs that betray the Tunda faction’s involvement in the crime.
