Speaking to reporters here, he said that TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu had earlier propped up a third front with SP leader Mulayam Singh Yadav as its chairman.
Thereafter, the third front leaders had announced Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati as the front leader and later on, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa.
Jayalalithaa has now extended her hand of friendship to the Congress, the BJP leader said.
"The third front has no future in the Lok Sabha elections. It has become a third-rated front", he said.
