Chief Judicial Magistrate, Srinagar, MY Akhoon said the bail petitions have been referred to the division bench of state high court in view of its directions in the matter.

The CJM fixed July 1 as next date of hearing, subject to the instructions given by the High Court in this regard.

The division bench of the High Court on May 15 directed the lower courts not to dispose off any bail applications in the case without bringing them to its notice.

Reiterating its May 15 direction, the Court on June 21 ordered that it should be kept informed in case any petition for bail is filed before any subordinate court in the present case or in two earlier cases.

The CJM preponed bail application of Mir, listed for Saturday, and clubbed it with the applications of Deputy Inspector General, BSF, KC Padhi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ashraf Mir and Merajuddin Malik.

None of the accused was represented during the proceedings in the court.
