Suspected militants hurled a grenade at a residential house in Sopore town of north Kashmir's Baramulla district, but it failed to explode, police said on Sunday.
The grenade, which was hurled late last night, was found in the residential compound of a civilian in Sopore town this morning, a police official said.
He said a transmission tower of a private cellular company is installed in the residential compound and seemed a target of the subversive activity. A bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot and the grenade was defused, the officer said.
