Jagat's charges against FM irresponsible: Cong

Congress said that disciplinary action might be taken against Jagat if he persisted with such statements.

The Congress on Friday described as irresponsible the statement made by Natwar Singh's son Jagat Singh, levelling allegations against Finance Minister P Chidambaram and said that disciplinary action might be taken against him if he persisted with such statements.

Congress spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said that since Jagat Singh himself ccepted that he has no material to back up his charge, it amounted to an irresponsible statement.

"If defiance against him is persisted with, disciplinary action can't be ruled out," Mr Singhvi said.
