"The 14th Lok Sabha polls would decide the fate of the country whether India was heading towards fascism or democracy," state president Mohammed Saleem Engineer told reporters after a decision in this regard was taken by the group yesterday.

He said 25 Jeih committees were working to make members of the minority community aware of their voting rights and extend support to Congress.

On BJP's reported claim of Muslims joining the party, Saleem said "It was a false propaganda and a poll gimmick to create drift among the Muslim community. There was no basis of such claims by the saffron party".
