A jeep in the convoy of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Sunday overturned in Bihar's Kaimur district, injuring six policemen escorting her.

A jeep in the convoy of Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar on Sunday overturned in Bihar's Kaimur district, injuring six policemen escorting her.

Police said Kumar was on her way from Mohania to Sasaram to attend a function when the jeep carrying the policemen turned turtle while trying to overtake another vehicle in the convoy.

Kumar, whose car was ahead of the jeep, however, reached the venue as per schedule.

Two policemen were injured seriously and have been admitted along with others in a government hospital at Mohania, police said.
