Jeev recovers to make cut

Jeev, who was four-under for 13 holes on Thursday before bogeying last five holes, said, “The game is there, but I guess I was rusty. It is a question of getting back into the rhythm and hopefully that will happen soon. Today was much better.”

Shiv Kapur, who shot a 68 on the first day dropped to a 74 with two birdies, two bogeys and double bogey. Like Jeev, he was tied for 56th at two-under.

Jyoti Randhawa (70-74) and SSP Chowrasia (72-72) were tied 86th at even par and missed the cut, which was at two-under.

The leader was Rick Kulacz of Australia, who shot a nine-under 63 and moved to 12-under 130.

Nath takes top honours

Kolkata: Anirban Nath won in the 0-16 handicap category of the Vodafone Invitational Golf Tournament, a part of the Vodafone Royals Trophy, aggregating 35 stableford points. Angad Luthra, with 32 points, finished runner-up after pipping two other players on a count-back. S.S. Das emerged victorious in the 17 & above handicap category with a total of 34 stableford points while Yashwant Goenka came second with 33 points at the Royal Calcutta Golf Club.

KGA victorious

New Delhi: KGA Golf Club, Bangalore, took the honours in the inaugural National Inter-Club Junior Championship for the Toyota Trophy at Noida Golf Course.

Team members Sayed Saqib Ahmed and Rahul Ravi combined for a team total of 299 to march ahead of overnight leaders Army Golf Course, Delhi. The individual winner in the under-18 category was Ankur Chadha of the DLF Golf & Country Club with a score of 143.
