Jharkhand convenes assembly session under opposition duress

The Jharkhand government today convened a three day assembly session beginning Dec 28 till December 30 under pressure from the opposition parties.

Earlier, the government had said that it was not possible to convene the session due to the panchayat polls. The five phase polls got over on December 24. While opposition parties welcomed the session, they expressed unhappiness over its duration.
