The Central government has sanctioned 3094 anganwari centres, 3094 anganwari workers and equal number of helpers, besides 124 supervisors under the ICDs scheme to the state government, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said at a review meeting of the Social Welfare Department on Thursday.
He said there should be strict monitoring of implementation of all the schemes so that the benefit reaches to people for which these have been formulated.
Referring to the provision of pre-matric scholarships being provided by the department, the Chief Minister said at least 50 per cent attendance should be made mandatory for the students of primary school.
