In the second quarterfinal of the tourney, JLN School defeated Campion School by 87 runs. Campion School skipper Arpit Chaure won the toss and invited JLNS team to bat first. This decision looked right when Campion School took the first wicket at 19. Samay Shrivastava departed at a personal score of 10 runs.

But Abhimanyu Pandey and Manas Pandey’s responsible knocks turned the tables on the fielding side. The duo added 135 runs for the second wicket, which is the biggest partnership so far.

Abhimanyu’s knock of 63 runs comprised eight boundaries while Manas chipped in with 57. After their departure, skipper Premal Jain took the score past the 200-run mark. He scored a personal best of 73 not out with the help of 11 boundaries. Good batting by the upper and middle order helped JLNS to a score of 247/4.

Campion School could not sustain the pressure and lost five important wickets for a paltry score of 69 runs. However, Chetan Jain put some breaks on the debacle by hammering 60 runs. But in the absence of other good innings, Campion School lost the match.

For the bowling side, Premal Jain, Samay Shrivastava and Piyush Tondan claimed two wickets each. Principal Secretary U K Samal presented the man of match award to Premal Jain.

Among the dignitaries present on the occasion included BDCA chairman Dhruv Narayan Singh, organising secretary Aruneshwar Singhdeo, Ashok Singh, Shailendra Singh, Arun Tyagi, L S Gill, Sushil Singh, Uttam Thakur, Deepak Goyal, Dr Srinath Agrawal and others.
