He was speaking to newspersons in Hyderabad who came to participate in a public meeting organised by the Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS).

Soren said that the UPA sub-committee on Telangana was not taking speedy steps to realise the dreams of the Telangana people even as the TRS, coalition partner of the UPA government, was fighting for the cause.

He stated that the like-minded political parties would mount pressure on the Centre and take steps to bring in a bill for Telangana in the Parliament at the earliest.

The minister also said the Congress-led UPA government should have responsibility to form separate Telangana as per the Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
