LAWYERS IN the high court celebrated the appointment of a young lawyer, Jaideep Narain Mathur, as the Additional Advocate General of Uttar Pradesh.

Hundreds of members of the Bar assembled in his chamber to congratulate him.

Mathur is the youngest lawyer to be appointed to the coveted post. His father, PN Mathur, is a senior advocate designate, practicing in the high court, who is also the former president of the high court-based Avadh Bar Association. His grandfather, DN Mathur, was also a leading lawyer of the State.

An expert in constitutional and service matters, Jaideep started his career in 1988 and soon earned a name for himself. Top business houses of the country including TELCO, Voltas, BSE, and Reliance engaged him as the leading counsel.

He has also represented the SGPGI among many other establishments.

The president of the Avadh Bar Association thanked the advocate general Virendra Bhatia for selecting Mathur as the AAG.
