Standing on 28.6 hectares of grounds, the Queenstown Events Centre houses the magnificent John Davies Oval, which may be rated as one of the most beautiful sporting arenas in the world.

With the magnificent backdrop of 'The Remarkables' mountain range towering above it, the Oval is certainly a spectacular venue.

It is surrounded by several other grounds, which can be used for cricket, rugby or soccer.

To compliment these the Events Centre can offer outdoor tennis and netball facilities and has floodlights on one training pitch.

The Oval has yet to host any international cricket match. The fourth one-dayer between India and New Zealand on January 4th, 2003 will mark it's debut.
