Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa, in a letter to his Kerala counterpart V S Achuthanandan, said five persons, including a CPI-M and CPI activist, have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and illegal detention of Shruti, the daughter of CPI-M MLA C H Kunhambu on February six.
The Dakshina Kannada district administration has been instructed to deal with the matter firmly and take preventive measures to see that these incidents are not repeated, Yeddyurappa, whose government came in for criticism in the wake of the incident, told Achuthanandan.
