Sriramulu was a minister in the BS Yeddyurappa government and split to form the BSR Congress following the arrest of his political mentor and mining baron G Janardhan Reddy.

Yeddyurappa too, split from the BJP to form the KJP following his arrest by the Lokayukta police. With this, all the Reddy brothers including G Janardhan Reddy, are back with the BJP.

Karunakar Reddy the third brother, never left BJP. Congress MLA and son of Union minister Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyank Kharge said “People have seen this game before. Yeddyurappa is a pale shadow of himself. The new arrangement will cause further trouble within the BJP. It is a survival issue for survival them.”
