The AIADMK supremo Jayalalithaa has charged Karunanidhi with failing to raise his voice on issues pertaining to the state including issues like Kavery, fishermen's problems, Tamils jailed in Malaysia.

Addressing an election campaign here on Wednesday, she blamed Karunanidhi for burying the Kavery issue and ditching the fishermen of Tamil Nadu's coastal districts. It was Karunanidhi who withdrew the case from Supreme Court demanding rights of the Kavery delta farmers, she alleged.

When the youths from Tamilnadu were arrested in Malaysia, Jayalalithaa said it was she who sought the intervention of the Prime Minister.

She also criticised Sonia Gandhi for alligning with the DMK. She accused DMK of putting hurdles in the Tamil Nadu government's development projects.
