He was arrested near Durga Mandir in Sisamau when he was traveling on a scooter.
When the police searched the dickey of his scooter, they found out several fake stamp papers and KESCo bills.
The police said that a few days back Mewa Lal, resident of Sisamau, received an electricity bill and gave it to his wife so that it can be submitted at the KESCo office. The wife of Meva Lal gave the bill to one of her neighbors Amit who he went to KESCo office at Nazirabad. Since there was a long queue, Sonu met Amit and told him that he would deposit the bill and send the receipt at his residence.
The police said that the receipt of the bill amounting to Rs 4,424 was made on fake documents. After a few days, when another KESCo bill was sent to the house of Mewa Lal, he rushed to the power corporation’s office. But, the officials told him that the bill was not paid. Meva Lal then registered a complaint at Sisamau police station. The police said that Sonu was involved in issuing fake receipts on behalf of KESCo. Earlier, he was involved in several incidents of crime and wanted by the police.
