The Khalsa Parishad has demanded a separate time for itself for the August 27 event, and has warned of a boycott by 400 of its group if its demands are not met.

At a press conference on Saturday, Akhil Bhartiya Mahayagi Ashram Mahants Brahmarishi Nimbiya Maharaj, Ramkrishnadas and Bhooshandas Maharaj claimed "the entire akhada group was posing a problem" specially for Khalsa mahants.

Ramkrishnadas even alleged there is no power for the Digambar Akhada and accused it of "criss-crossing rules" and issued a statement of protest against the akhada.

He also criticised administrative instructions by police urging restrictions in use of vehicles and echoed calls by other mahants that aged sadhus and mahants were in need of transport and could not be expected to walk.

He even claimed that water from the Khalsa Parishad was being diverted to other akhadas.
