Labourers abstains from work at Cochin airport

Passengers at the Cochin International Airport were stranded when due to shortage of staff to unload the baggage.

Hundreds of passengers, who arrived at the Cochin International Airport on Sunday were stranded when their baggage were not off-loaded from the aircraft due to shortage of staff to unload the baggage.

The casual labourers employed by the Air India for the off-loading of baggage abstained from the work on Sunday, affecting the unloading of luggage, airport sources said.

Air India Officers immediately arranged workers of Jet Airport service to take up the work, they said.
