According to the prosecution, Chavan said he would not give land measurement details to Patil unless he was paid Rs 600.

Patil gave Chavan Rs 100 as advance and then informed the anti-corruption bureau (ACB) who arranged the trap. The prosecution managed to prove a case of bribe-taking.
