Lathi-charge on traders protested

GORAKHPUR UDYOG Vyapar Pratinidhi Mandal members staged a dharna at the district magistrate?s office in protest against a lathicharge on traders in Mathura. They handed over a nine-point memorandum, to be forwarded to the Governor. They demanded a judicial inquiry into the lathicharge and a check on increasing cases of crime against traders across the State.

Expressing his views on the occasion, Mandal State secretary Satya Prakash Singh Munna said trader leaders had decided to organise a divisional meeting at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in the district on April 17 to discuss the future course of action .
