Remember the pretty American photojournalist in Kabir Khan’s

Kabul Express

? After roughing it out in Taliban-country with young Turks, John Abraham and Arshad Warsi, actress Linda Arsenio is now heading southwards.

Not for one of those relaxing Ayurvedic massages in God’s own country but to... hold your breath... work with Malayali superstar Mammootty.

Going South:

The actress is naturally excited. She says, “I guess he is the biggest in the Malayalam industry.”

So what’s the movie about? “It’s a period film where Mammootty plays a king and I play an English girl.”

What about her film ventures in

Mumbai? “I have received an offer from Rakeyesh Omprakash Mehra for

Hollywood Bollywood:

Linda claims she is in love with the Indian film industry. “I want to learn to speak Hindi, and dance and sing like they do in the movies.”

And doesn’t she have a Hollywood connection or two worth the boast? She lets in, “Back in America, I have a big Hollywood project. It will star Jamie Foxx and Samuel Jackson.”

But for the time being she is happy to call India her home away from home. And her most favoured destination in the country is but of course, Goa with its beaches.
