A professional wellness expert welcomes you on your arrival, and depending upon your requirements recommends suitable treatments. I was given a spa menu that offered various massage options including hot stone massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and Balinese massage. I opted for an Ayurvedic potli massage (R3,000), having never tried one before. The therapy rooms instantly lifted my mood. Soft music, purple orchids and the rejuvenating aroma of relaxing oils welcomed me as soon as I stepped in. This is basically a hot massage using potli (sachets) filled with medicinal herbs. Though it was relaxing, at times the touch of the hot potli would catch me by surprise. Make sure you tell the therapist about the temperature of the hot oil before it is put in the sachet.

The treatment was followed by a steam bath. Next, I was taken to the basement for an O3 + facial (R2,500), which I was told, would help reduce the blemishes on my acne prone skin. The results were definitely positive. A hair spa (R1,200) was recommended to bring the glow back in my locks. A specialist washed my hair and applied some hair cream. A long blissful head massage with the cream followed after which my mane looked and felt healthier. A much recommended place if you are ready to splurge.
