Lone JJM MLA withdraws support to Soren govt

The lone MLA of the Jharkhand Janadhikar Manch, Bandhu Tirkey, today withdrew support to the Shibu Soren-led government, Raj Bhavan sources said in Ranchi.

Earlier in the day Tirkey said he supported Shibu Soren and not the BJP and that he would withdraw support.

Jharkhand plunged into a political crisis after Soren voted for the UPA during the cut motion in Lok Sabha, following which BJP decided to pull out from his ruling coalition.

BJP, however, is now reviewing its decision after JMM urged the BJP to initiate government formation and choose a chief minister whom JMM would support.

Following the JMM's repeated written pleas, BJP had on Thursday cancelled twice its appointment with the governor to handover the letter of withdrawal of support.
