State home minister RR Patil said the state home department has received terror alerts from the central agencies. However, the inputs are not specific in nature.

"The Centre has alerted the Maharashtra government about possible attacks during Diwali," said Patil.

However, he added: "There are no reports about any specific attack or any terror strike on a particular place. These alerts are general in nature. We have deployed additional forces for the festive season."
