Maharashtra, especially Mumbai, has been put on alert after the Delhi blast, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) KL Prasad said.

Security has been beefed up at important places in the city including railway stations on Central, Western and Harbour Lines, and places of worship, Prasad said.
